Astronomy / Stargazing

Barrys Bay is an excellent site for astronomy and stargazing.  Visitors from the Northern Hemisphere in particular will enjoy the opportunity to explore the unfamiliar southern sky.

During cloudless mornings and evenings it is possible to observe satellites, including the International Space Station, passing overhead as they orbit the Earth.  For predictions of visible passes of ISS over Barrys Bay in the near future click here.

It is also possible to view planets such as Saturn from the hostel.
